If you are one of those who spends hours studying but gets nothing stuck in your head, then you should try to adopt the Pomodoro Method to your study style!
What is the Pomodoro Method?
Pomodoro Method or Pomodoro Technique is a time-management method introduced by Italian author Francesco Cirillo. This method forces you to focus only on one small task for the little time interval without any distractions. People around the world claim it works for most of them either a student or workers, either a perfectionist or a total procrastinator.

So, Where to Start?
Well, first of all, you have to set your goals and to-do-list
It could be Math homework, materials reading, or note taking. It is okay to write all the things you have to get done by the end of the day.
Then, cut off any distraction
Turn off your notifications and throw your phone away (not literally of course) far from your reach. Forget about that gossip on your group chat for a while.
Pick one single task and set your timer for 25 minutes
Out of many things you have to do, pick only one task for this time interval. It may seem small but 25 minutes without distractions will boost your focus only on the task.
It’s time for a break!
After doing a small task for 25 minutes, get a break for 5 minutes. You can spend it to stretch your body or do something relaxing other than your task. Or maybe do things that popped into your head while doing the task? Your body and mind will thank you later.
Repeat
Find it good? then you should try for another round. Four rounds of 25 minutes of Pomodoro will let you finish that homework you always have in your mind. Take a long break after you have your fourth round.

Ok, What’s Next?
You may notice that this method has an amazing result on your focus habit and you are willing to do this for the next day. If you are a newbie, you should also keep these things in mind to get the most out of each interval.
Small steps count
Break down your big target. Please keep in mind that you have to focus on smaller and actionable steps to learn anything. You can completely read that Geography textbook, just not in one day.
Small tasks go together
If you are in your not-so-busy-day, you should get things done by putting two or three simple tasks in one Pomodoro interval. For example, ‘reading 2 pages of Campbell’s’ and ‘writing the highlight of Campbell’s’ can go together in one interval.
Small notifications break
Any distractions from your phone or your surroundings will break the system you built. Please make sure you are in a comfortable place to start the session/interval.
